487 miles on foot. First in history.

On 9/11, I was a soldier. I was at the Pentagon. Twenty years later, I made a promise to never let that day fade.

So I walked. From Ground Zero in New York, past the Flight 93 Memorial, to the Pentagon. 487 miles across 6 states in 26 days. No one had ever walked all three national 9/11 memorials before. I was the first.

Then I went straight to the track. At Richmond, a 9/11 tribute car carried my family's charity in front of the whole country.

Why it matters: people don't follow a pitch. They follow a promise kept.
